Trainee Dental Nurse

Location: Ashford

Salary: From £10.50 per hour for employees aged 18–20; National Minimum Wage applies for employees aged 21 and over.

About the Practice

The practice is a modern clinic offering specialist Orthodontic services, periodontics and endodontics. You will be joining a professional, approachable team committed to high-quality patient care, excellent training, and strong clinical standards. The practice provides a supportive learning environment with experienced clinicians and nurses.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance to clinicians
• Prepare and maintain the clinical environment, ensuring all instruments are sterilised and equipment is ready
• Support with all treatments
• Maintain accurate patient records and follow all clinical protocols
• Assist with decontamination, sterilisation, and cross-infection control procedures
• Deliver excellent patient care, helping patients feel comfortable and supported throughout their visit
• Mix dental materials and prepare instruments for treatment
• Manage stock levels and ensure surgeries are fully equipped

Requirements

• Enrolled on a relevant dental nursing course - we will be willing to enrol the right candidate on the relevant nursing course.
• A minimum of a few months experience working within a dental practice would be preferable.
• Strong communication skills and a patient-focused attitude
• Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
• Reliable, organised, and committed to completing training#
• Interest in developing clinical skills in a professional environment
