Location: Hinkley Point C (HPC) Main Site Somerset

Salary: £61,781.10 per annum with overtime available

The Role

They have an opening for an experienced and highly motivated Site Survey and Setting Out Engineer to join a multidisciplinary project delivery team working on site at Hinkley Point C in Somerset.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the site team working on the installation of client supplied access equipment. This includes nuclear classified grids, blast dampers and doors that vary from 200kg up to 350,000kg!

The successful candidate will work closely with the team Construction Manager and Supervisors to carry out as-built surveys and set out positions of equipment in readiness for installation. As well as working with the Craft team during installation of the equipment to ensure dimensional compliance.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Use of all common modern setting out & surveying equipment.
  • Setting up survey equipment using provided survey networks.
  • Carrying out as-built surveys of structures internally and externally to high levels of accuracy.
  • Producing as-built reports to required standards for designers to use for as-built drawings.
  • Setting out positions and levels for equipment to be installed correctly.
  • Working with site plans, architectural/structural/civils drawings, and information models.
  • Overseeing site quality control in relation to dimensional tolerance.
  • Monitoring health and safety on site.
  • Contributing to a site diary when required.
  • Resolving technical problems in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders.
  • Discipline relevant degree or NVQ qualification
  • Chartership to CIOB preferred
  • Relevant to discipline CCNSG or CSCS card
  • Ability to obtain minimum BPSS clearance
  • UK Driving License and Right to Work in the UK

Benefits

  • 10% site allowance will be paid on base salary
  • Shift pattern as per rest of team, which is 10 days on, 4 days off
  • OT rates of 1.4 & 1.8 apply as per ECSA
