Your duties will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Manage the sales team to achieve their individual targets and build strong customer relationships
  • Identify and pursue key strategic accounts
  • Develop and grow existing customer accounts
  • Work with operations on capacity and cost strategy
  • Work with production, planning and logistics to meet customer requirements
  • Monitor group pipeline forecast and performance
  • Resolve customer issues and escalations
  • Ensure accurate quoting pricing and order management
  • Ensure accurate CRM and reporting
  • Drive pricing discount and margin discipline
  • Monitor and improve customer service levels
  • Manage backlog, capacity visibility, and lead times
  • Drive process improvement and system accuracy
  • Provide sales insight to operations and vice versa
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends

  • Group revenue margin & growth
  • Pipeline quality and conversion
  • Process efficiency & error rate
  • Customer satisfaction and retention

Requirements:

Education

  • Degree, HND, or equivalent qualification or level of experience in Business, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or a related discipline

Experience

  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Experience leading and managing sales teams across multiple territories, regions, or business units
  • Ability to set sales strategies and monitor performance against KPIs
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing sales personnel

Technical

  • Significant experience in managing people and teams
  • Significant experience in a manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or technical products environment
  • Ability to translate technical product features into customer benefits
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics 365)
  • Strong skills in spreadsheet analysis and sales reporting
  • Experience using ERP systems common in manufacturing
  • Experience managing key accounts and strategic customer relationships
  • Ability to resolve customer issues and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction

Skills and Aptitudes

  • Strong experience identifying and securing new business opportunities
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key customers, distributors, and strategic partners
  • Experience negotiating contracts, pricing agreements, and commercial terms.
  • Ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and sales pipelines
  • Strong understanding of margins, profitability, pricing strategies, and revenue growth
  • Experience preparing sales reports and presenting business performance to senior management

Personal Qualities Required

  • Ability to build, lead & manage teams
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, senior leadership, production teams, and technical specialists
  • Experience leading meetings and delivering sales proposals

Hours

Standard working hours are as follows:

  • Monday to Thursday 0730 - 1600 (30 minute unpaid lunch break per day)
  • Friday 0730 - 1230
  • 37 hours total
