Salary: £50,901 per annum

What you will do as Head of Maths

• Lead and inspiring a team of educators to deliver exceptional teaching, learning, and assessment across a diverse curriculum.
• Lead the college's maths provision across all levels - from Functional Skills to GCSE - ensuring high quality teaching, learning and outcomes.
• Drive curriculum innovation that’s agile, inclusive, and aligned with the needs of learners, employers, and the wider community.
• Coach and developing staff, setting clear targets, and ensuring continuous improvement is more than just a buzzword. Inspire and support your team of educators through coaching, development and clear, purposeful leadership.
• Own the numbers – from performance data to recruitment targets – and using them to make smart, strategic decisions.
• Build bridges with employers, stakeholders, and partners to ensure your faculty is future-ready and employer-connected.
• Teach too – because you believe in leading by example and staying close to the classroom.
• Drive curriculum innovation that's inclusive, responsive to learner needs and aligned with employer expectations.

Experience/Qualifications of Head of Maths

• A degree, a teaching qualification, and a solid track record of leadership in post-16 education.
• A sharp eye for quality, a head for data, and a heart for people.
• Experience managing budgets, resources, and change – without losing sight of the bigger picture.
• The ability to inspire, challenge, and support a team to be their best.
• A genuine passion for education and a belief in its power to transform lives.
