Trainee Airfreight Forwarder / Freight Forwarder

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum

The Role

You will be trained alongside our operatives to eventually be able to complete the following:

Main responsibilities:

• Planning and arranging collections and deliveries - Logistics
• Liaising with customers, carriers, suppliers, shipping lines, port authorities etc. by telephone, email etc
• Obtaining the necessary paperwork, Bill of ladings etc
• Admin / Administration support to all parties
• Data input / Data entry and general admin

Skills and qualities:

• Previous experience in general forwarding/logistics
• Ability to work under pressure (deadlines), independently and within a team
• Attention to detail, competent in Microsoft, Outlook, and ability to learn new procedures
• Be driven and self-motivated
• Be good at admin and prioritising

Our ideal candidate may have experience working:

• As a Freight Forwarder
• In Logistics
• In Airfreight / Road freight
