Senior Financial Analyst

£45,000–£55,000 per annum

We’re recruiting for a high-trust, senior FP&A role in a fast-moving commercial business. If you enjoy turning numbers into decisions (and you want more ownership than your current role allows), this could be a strong next step. This is the most senior finance position within a small team, so you’ll have real visibility and plenty of autonomy. The hiring manager is open to a range of experience levels, as long as you show clear growth potential and leadership capability. The role of Senior Financial Analyst

You’ll lead financial planning and analysis, strengthen forecasting discipline, and provide clear insight to senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the annual budgeting process with budget holders and key business partners
  • Run regular reforecasts, bridging variance vs. budget / YoY / previous forecast
  • Manage and control planning scenarios within MS Dynamics 365 Business Central, ensuring consistency across planning cycles
  • Produce insightful management reporting for senior leaders
  • Develop and publish Power BI dashboards and KPIs to support decision-making across the business
  • Champion smarter ways of working through technology, data and continuous improvement

  • Forecast accuracy vs actuals
  • Budgets and forecasts delivered on time
  • Clear, actionable insight that leaders actually use
  • Strong adoption of dashboards and reporting

This role will suit you if…

  • You’re highly analytical and enjoy modelling, forecasting and scenario work
  • You’re confident with Excel and finance systems, and you like improving how things are done
  • You can build relationships quickly, challenge assumptions constructively, and influence stakeholders
  • You’re ready to be seen as the “go-to” person and lead when needed

Desirable: Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Business Central, Power BI, and/or sector exposure (e.g., agriculture/manufacturing).
