Talent Manager / Agent (Corporate Speakers)

Location/Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday – hybrid 3:2 (Office/WFH) based at our Chiswick, London office.

Salary: Competitive

The Company…

Bev James Management (BJM) is a leading UK-based talent management and literary agency representing inspirational experts, thought leaders, and high-profile voices across wellness, health, business and personal development.

We hold a proven track record in growing and nurturing exceptional clients, and elevating brands across television, publishing, events and digital platforms.   We excel at turning brands into thriving businesses and shining a light on remarkable people doing remarkable things.

Our corporate speaking business is already well-established and growing, and we are now seeking a commercially minded, dedicated specialist to drive its next phase of growth.

This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role within a respected and growing agency, with real autonomy, meaningful impact, and clear opportunities for progression as the business grows.

The Role…

This role will focus on managing, developing, and growing the corporate speaking careers of existing Bev James Management clients, overseeing all inbound speaking enquiries from initial brief through to confirmation and delivery. This includes understanding client objectives, negotiating fees and contracts, coordinating logistics, and ensuring a seamless experience for both speakers and event partners.

Alongside managing inbound opportunities, you will take a proactive approach to business development, building relationships with corporates, brands, event organisers, conference producers, and speaker agencies to generate new opportunities. You will identify gaps in the market, help spot emerging trends, and strategically position speakers to maximise visibility, impact, and revenue. The role also includes researching and onboarding high-calibre new talent, including speakers not currently represented, to grow our talent roster.

You will play a central role in building long-term strategic partnerships, increasing repeat business, and maximising the commercial potential of every engagement. Working closely with the wider talent management team, you will help elevate BJM’s reputation and positioning as a leading agency for inspirational, expert, leadership, and wellness-driven speakers, ensuring continued growth and industry presence.

What You’ll Do…

  • Manage all inbound corporate speaking enquiries for BJM’s clients from our website and speaking agencies
  • End-to-end management of all corporate speaking bookings, negotiations and contracts
  • Act as the main point of contact between corporate speakers and event organisers
  • Proactively outreach to companies, brands, event and conference organisers, and agencies
  • Prepare speaker proposals, including speaker recommendations, formats, fees and key messaging
  • Pitch BJM speakers for corporate events, conferences, panels and keynotes
  • Identify new speaking opportunities across wellness, health, leadership, business and expert sectors
  • Maintain and nurture relationships with speaking agencies and keep client profiles & bio’s up-to-date on agency websites.
  • Coordinate speaker schedules and key logistics to ensure a smooth end-to-end experience
  • Identify and approach potential new speakers outside of BJM who may not have representation
  • Support the strategic positioning and growth of speakers’ profiles and careers
  • Attend client engagements as required (sometimes outside of normal working hours), and provide occasional out of hours support for event organisers/clients

About You…

  • Proven experience in corporate speaker bookings or talent management, or in a related commercial role such as corporate events, conferences, sponsorship, media or PR, where you have gained an understanding of the speaker or talent industry
  • Understanding of the corporate speaking industry or comparable commercial sectors, including experience with fees, contracts, and managing client expectations
  • Confidence working with senior and high-profile stakeholders, including executives, public figures, and recognised talent
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent bookings and timelines, tracking progress and delivering against agreed deadlines
  • Commercially minded, confident negotiating fees and value
  • Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and experience managing complex logistics
  • Experience, or broad interests and understanding, across the wellness, health, business, and personal development space, with curiosity and awareness of talent and industry trends.

Desirable

  • Existing relationships with corporates, conference organisers, or speaker agencies
  • Experience growing or scaling a speaking division or revenue stream
  • Understanding of personal brand positioning, thought leadership and developing speakers’ careers
  • Experience managing international travel and cross-time-zone coordination

What We Offer…

  • Competitive salary
  • A workplace where your ideas are welcomed, valued, and listened to
  • Recognition for your contributions and celebration of your successes
  • The trust and autonomy to make decisions and work independently
  • The support of a calm, nurturing, and collaborative CEO
  • The chance to work closely with exceptional talent
  • Opportunities to grow and develop within both the role and the company

At Bev James Management, we are committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable environment where everyone feels respected and empowered to contribute.
