Are you confident in leading a class, supporting individual needs, and making a real difference every day? Do you have a HLTA or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification?

Looking for a role where your skills are valued and your development is supported?

If so, Upwood Primary Academy is looking for you!

Your Role

As an HLTA, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality learning experiences. You’ll work with whole classes, small groups, and individual pupils—sometimes independently, sometimes alongside teachers—supporting a wide range of learning needs. From planning and delivering curriculum activities to promoting positive behaviour and inclusion, your work will directly impact pupil progress and well-being.

You’ll need a relevant HLTA or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, experience working with primary-aged children, and a strong grasp of the national curriculum. Your ability to adapt, communicate effectively, and support children with diverse needs will be essential. A willingness to undertake first aid training is also important.

They offer a supportive and collaborative environment where your professional development is actively encouraged. You’ll work in a beautiful rural setting with a team that values your contribution and shares your passion for helping children thrive.
