3rd Line ICT Support Engineer Location: Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service Headquarters (HQ), Ripley, Derbyshire Contract Type: Fixed Term to December 2026 Salary: Grade F £50,000* per annum *The salary includes a market supplement, base pay band Grade F (£36,124 - £40,476). Hours: 37 hours however you may occasionally need to work beyond normal office hours. Agile working arrangements can be discussed with the successful candidate. About the Role: Can we count on you to deliver a customer-focused service that is consistent, reliable and focused on excellence? As a 3rd Line ICT Support Engineer, you will support the Service’s users, assisting in diagnosing and solving issues across our ICT infrastructure, systems and data including physical, virtual and cloud environments. Your work will help ensure our teams have the tools and support they need to keep people safe. You will be responsible for providing support for a range of infrastructure technologies, including networking, switches, firewalls, windows servers, end user systems, station end equipment (mobile devices, pagers, alerters), supporting system administrators and troubleshooting issues across the ICT estate. You will assist the ICT Service Delivery Manager in providing excellent support to business-critical applications, requiring you to possess excellent time management and organisational skills, communications skills, alongside a broad technical knowledge. There will be a requirement for some travel for which a pool car will be provided. The normal working week is 37 hours, usually worked Monday to Friday, however you may occasionally need to work beyond normal office hours, evenings and weekends as required.
