External Affairs Manager Location: Head Office - London Salary: £53,500 - £58,000 per annum (with London weighting) Their mission is to transform communities, reduce crime and anti-social behaviour, and increase the public’s confidence in the police service by recruiting, developing and inspiring outstanding and diverse leaders in society and on the policing frontline. They are working towards a day when every community, whatever the socio-economic background of its residents, can thrive without being fearful of crime. They are looking for talented, committed and mission-aligned individuals who will drive them towards achieving their ambitions. The organisation recruits and trains graduates and career changers with leadership potential to become inspirational police officers and outstanding crime fighters on their National Graduate Leadership Programme and their National Detective Programme. Beyond these programmes, their officers may join their Frontline Leadership Programme and be further developed giving them the best possible chance to progress through the policing ranks and have a lifelong connection with them. Their 115-strong not-for-profit organisation aims to create systemic change. They need highly capable impactful staff to support the recruitment and development of their officers and to cultivate strong relationships with partner forces and the wider sector. The Role They are looking for a proactive policy and corporate affairs professional to join their team and play a key role in shaping understanding of their programmes, build support amongst stakeholders, and lead the conversation on police reform and culture change. Their mission is to transform communities, reduce crime and increase public confidence in policing. You will be instrumental in identifying and offering great opportunities to showcase the best of their work with Ministers, officials, MPs, Peers, committees, All-Party Parliamentary Groups, and other policy stakeholders and influencers. You will use your skills in advocacy and effective communication to increase awareness of and support for what they deliver, and be an effective partner to the Government demonstrating delivery of their 13,000 neighbourhood policing pledge and the difference good local policing makes to communities.
