Corporate Communications Officer

Location: Near Fareham

Salary: £35,526 - £40,893 per annum

Hours per week: Flexible up to 37 Hours, Monday - Friday with Flexible Office hours

The Role

You will be involved in every aspect of communications for ACRO. This includes:

  • Dealing with national media enquiries on high profile issues
  • Engaging with staff through their various internal channels
  • Using social media and their website to promote the organisation’s work
  • Advising colleagues at all levels on communications matters
  • Supporting marketing campaigns to widen awareness of the organisation’s services

 While an all-round understanding of communications is important, they welcome applications from anyone with a specialist background.

Candidates should note that this role may occasionally involve UK travel requiring overnight stays. The post holder may need to work occasional unsocial hours to respond to operational demands.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Educated to QCF Level 3 plus NCTJ qualification or other qualification in either PR, general media or marketing studies OR work experience deemed to have brought the role holder to a comparable level.
  • To have worked for a considerable period as a journalist or in a communications or marketing role.
  • Experience of using social media in a professional capacity.
