Project Coordinator

Location: Lincoln (office based) 

Salary: up to £35k

Benjamin Edwards are recruiting for an organised, proactive and commercially minded Project Coordinator to join a successful and growing food business. This is a varied, fast-paced role sitting at the centre of the business, coordinating activity across Sales, Commercial, Operations, Buying and Production to ensure customer projects and product launches are delivered accurately and on time. As Project Coordinator will take ownership of projects from initial customer requirements through to production and final delivery, making sure everyone has the information, materials, specifications and artwork they need to keep things moving. The role would suit someone who is naturally organised, enjoys bringing different teams together and has a real can-do attitude. You don't necessarily need to come from a pure project management background. We are looking for someone who can plan, communicate, problem-solve and take ownership.

The role of Project Coordinator

• Coordinate customer projects and new product launches from initial brief through to manufacture and delivery
• Act as the key link between Sales, Commercial, Operations, Buying, Production and other internal teams
• Build and maintain project plans, timelines and trackers, ensuring key milestones are achieved
• Coordinate product specifications, packaging and artwork, ensuring everything is approved and ready within required timescales
• Work with Buying and Operations to ensure materials, packaging and other requirements are available for production
• Monitor production and delivery deadlines, proactively identifying potential delays or issues
• Ensure products meet customer specification
• Keep internal stakeholders updated on project progress, changes, risks and priorities
• Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring nothing gets missed
• Maintain accurate project information, documentation and reporting
• Use Excel to track projects, analyse information and provide clear updates to the wider business
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and make project delivery more efficient
• Step in and problem-solve when plans change, keeping projects moving and customers' requirements on track

The ideal candidate for the role of Project Coordinator

• Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and able to take ownership rather than waiting to be told what needs doing
• Able to coordinate multiple projects, deadlines and priorities at the same time
• A confident user of Excel, ideally to an advanced level
• Comfortable working with data, trackers, project plans and management information
• Experience within Food, FMCG, manufacturing, supply chain, packaging, purchasing, NPD or project coordination would be advantageous
