Salary: £29,064 - £31,022 per annum

The City Council’s Licensing Authority is seeking a Licensing Assistant to join their dynamic and dedicated team.

In this varied role, you will support a wide range of licensing functions, including:

• Providing administrative and enforcement support
• Reviewing and assessing licensing applications for compliance and suitability
• Supporting training, competency assessments, and service development
• Assisting Newcastle’s licensed trade, new businesses, and the wider community

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that plays a key role in shaping and supporting Newcastle’s day and night-time economies. You will help manage applications, oversee licensing changes, and contribute to the positive delivery of their departmental licensing policies.
 
While the role will primarily focus on the hackney carriage and private hire fleet, licensed drivers, and operators, you may also gain experience across other licensing functions within the Authority.
