Marketing Apprentice

Location: Market Harborough

Salary: £8 per hour

Vacancy Type: Full Time, 40 hours per week

What’s your role all about?

This role will be delivered from Treetops, our office in Market Harborough and you’ll be expected to come in most days.

The role of our Marketing Apprentice gives a broad range of marketing experiences which will help inform future career aspirations balanced with making a genuine and useful contribution to the smooth running of our business. Training will be provided to allow the Marketing Apprentice to develop a good understanding of Rambutan and all of the elements that go towards completing the qualification.

The Marketing Apprentice will complete a Level 4 Marketing Executive Apprenticeship.

What will you be doing day to day?

  • posting to social media channels to an agreed schedule and following the social media guidelines to help raise Rambutan’s profile
  • creating quirky posts to ensure our social media looks professional
  • helping to keep our CRM (Customer Relationship Management) database (ACT) up-to-date
  • contributing to business development by sending out email campaigns to drive new business meetings
  • learning how to use all the software we use in addition to Microsoft Office, such as ACT, Adobe, Buffer, social media, WordPress, Survey Monkey, Canva and Mailchimp
  • supporting the Marketing Manager in key marketing campaigns and the design and distribution of our newsletter
  • updating our website to ensure it’s accurate and captures the essence of our brand
  • writing blogs
  • managing the updating, production and distribution of our marketing collateral
  • collecting and analysing competitor and audience research
  • being a brand ambassador and ensuring everything adheres to brand guidelines
  • organising, marketing and where appropriate attending events such as conferences, webinars and exhibitions
  • supporting bunch members where needed
  • proofreading and sense-checking internal documents and client material
  • responding to queries via phone, email and the website in our Rambu-tone
  • bringing our values to life at every opportunity for the people you interact with inside and outside Rambutan
  • contributing to the sense of fun and camaraderie; welcoming new team members; being supportive of other team members
  • ensuring total confidentiality of all client and Rambutan material

Personal development

We’ll encourage personal development and there will be some things that the Marketing Apprentice will be expected to develop themselves in, including, but not limited to:

  • creating a LinkedIn profile and getting active in discussions and posts, in line with Rambutan guidelines
  • identifying and seeking to develop skills that’ll help in the role, e.g. content storytelling and creative designing
  • studying for a Marketing Apprenticeship at Level 4
  • developing knowledge of marketing best practices/models
  • looking for opportunities to learn from the Marketing Manager and Graphic Designer and supporting them

Maintaining our Rambu-standards

Our standards are very important to us and we expect our apprentice to uphold them as much as any other member of the bunch. This includes, but isn’t limited to:

  • using correct spelling, punctuation and grammar in all communication (and developing skills in this area where necessary)
  • observing our brand and style in all work
  • using Outlook really efficiently, in line with our guidelines, for diary management
  • behaving in a professional manner at all times when in the presence of clients
  • being punctual and reliable
  • helping to ensure our office is a pleasant place to work
  • giving and receiving feedback, including about Rambu-standards
  • demonstrating our values
  • you must be eligible to work in the UK

What will Rambutan give me?
