Internal Exclusion Manager Location: Ixworth, Bury Saint Edmunds Salary: Points 12 - 17 of the Support Staff Scale FTE £27,711 - £30,060 per annum Pro rata £24,157 - £26,673 per annum, including an allowance for holiday pay Hours: Part Time, Term Time plus 1 The High School is a small, friendly secondary school located in the Suffolk village of Ixworth, it is around 10 minutes from the A14, 15 minutes from Bury St Edmunds, and 30 minutes from Ipswich. They have been oversubscribed in recent years and are a popular school. They were graded good across all areas by Ofsted in April 2025. The Role They are seeking to appoint an Internal Exclusion (IE) Manager at the High School. The successful candidate should have a personal track record of success working with students to improve their behavior. The successful candidate would be responsible for standards and processes within the small IE room and also delivering 1:1 intervention to support students in improving their behavior as part of the pastoral team. As part of their role, they would liaise with teachers and other staff to ensure that students have good access to the curriculum, and that vulnerable students including those with SEN are supported well. Being able to communicate effectively with the full range of stakeholders is essential to this role including students, staff and parents.
