Hours:  8.30am – 5pm

Our client is a leading lighting company.

The Role

They are seeking a detailed – oriented and driven individual to join their QC and Product procurement team as a Product Technologist

In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all lighting products meet their high – quality standards and confirm to both company policies and regulatory requirements

Working closely with product development team to assess new and existing products lighting products, conducting through inspections and tests to verify their performance.

Your keen eye for detail and strong understanding of lighting technology would be an advantage in identifying areas for improvement, provide feedback for design modifications and ensuring that their product offering are not only visually appealing but also functionally superior.

Additionally, you will maintain accurate documentation of inspection results and collaborate with suppliers to address any quality issues promptly

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of domestic lighting products to ensure adherence to quality standards
  • Perform functional and performance testing on lighting fixtures and accessories
  • Review and analyse productions specifications to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
  • Collaborate with product development team to identify quality concerns and recommend improvements
  • Maintain accurate records of inspection results, tests conducted, and any other discrepancies found.
  • Communicate quality issues with suppliers effectively and internal teams to facilitate resolutions
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations and best practices related to domestic lighting quality control.
  • Maintain and update customer online portals.
  • Creating item specifications and working closely with overseas factories to ensure deadlines are met

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in quality control or assurance, preferably within the retail or manufacturing society
  • Understanding of lighting technology and industry standards preferred
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and inspection tools
