Technician (Performing Arts and Theatre)

Salary: £24,120-£28,434 per annum

Hours: Full Time

Thrive on making the magic happen during every performance? Do you love the buzz and creating unforgettable experiences for audiences and performers? We're looking for a practical, hands-on and passionate Technician for the Theatre. This role is full time, with evenings and weekends required. TOIL will be given for additional hours.

You will:

• Support students and staff in the theatre an studio spaces
• Manage equipment, lighting, sound and staging for performances and events
• Keep spaces safe, organised and performance-ready
• Collaborate with teaching staff to bring creative visions to life
• Lead on health and safety, risk assessments and technical planning
• Help shape the next generation of performers and technicians

You need to:

• Have experience in a theatre or live performance setting
• Have confidence with technical equipment (lighting, sound, multimedia)
• Possess a calm, solutions-focused approach when the pressure is on
• Be a team player who is happy to take the lead when needed
• Be flexible, reliable and ready to roll up your sleeves
