Location: Langley, Berkshire

Salary: £40,552 - £45,750 per annum               

Are you passionate about early childhood education and excited by the opportunity to shape and lead a new nursery provision? We are thrilled to present an incredible opportunity for an experienced and innovative Nursery Manager to join our team and help build a brand-new provision for children aged 9 months to 4 years at our school-based nursery.

The Role

  • Develop our new nursery - build and shape the provision working towards an opening date in the Autumn term.
  • Build and nurture a strong team - actively recruit, develop, and empower staff to reach their full potential.
  • Establish a high-quality provision - provide a safe, stimulating and caring child-centred environment that caters for children’s educational and developmental needs.
  • Nursery management - manage the smooth running of the nursery, ensuring all legislation and standards are met.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification
  • GCSE English and Maths (grade 4/C or above)
  • Previous nursery management experience
  • Demonstrable experience of leading a team effectively
  • Excellent knowledge of Development Matters and the EYFS and Ofsted standards
  • Knowledge of how to effectively plan and assess in the Early Years
  • Knowledge of budget management
  • Strong leadership skills, demonstrating the ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Proven skills in the organisation and management of financial, physical and human resources
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, articulate with the ability to interact at the highest level with staff, children, current and prospective parents as well as other stakeholders
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure and to adapt quickly to changing circumstances/situations
  • Ability to effectively operate a full range of ICT equipment and other resources
  • Can plan, organise and delegate effectively
  • Desire to enhance and develop skills and knowledge through CPD
  • Commitment to the school’s ethos, aims and community
