Salary: Competitive

Hours: Full time, Monday – Friday (40-hour week)

The Role

The company are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager to join their dynamic team in a service-based industry. This role is pivotal in overseeing project financials, revenue recognition (IFRS 15), and financial planning, ensuring compliance with UK regulations while driving business performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen, expertise in project management, and a proactive approach to stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial management of service-based projects, ensuring cost control, budget adherence, and profitability.
  • Ensure accurate revenue recognition in compliance with IFRS 15 and UK GAAP.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support business decision-making.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with project managers, senior leadership, and external auditors to optimize financial performance.
  • Implement and enhance financial reporting systems, working with ERP platforms such as iPlicit, SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive financial efficiency within the organization.
  • Management of warranty and procurement opportunities.
  • Management of the finance and administration team.

Skills and Qualifications

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified with strong financial management experience.
  • Proven experience in a service-based industry (e.g., Professional Services, IT Consulting or Engineering).
  • Strong understanding of IFRS 15 (Revenue Recognition) and project-based financial management.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience with ERP and financial systems such as iPlicit, SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
