Head of Academic Quality

Location: Cirencester, GL7 6JS

Salary: Grade 9 - £42,977 to £54,395 per annum depending on experience

Hours: Permanent, full-time (35 hours per week)

The Royal Agricultural University “RAU” is celebrating our 180th year of being at the forefront of agricultural learning, and is globally renowned for its links with industry and courses that are designed to meet the demands of the changing land-based sector.

The new Head of Academic Quality will provide strategic leadership across the RAU and our global partners regarding all aspects of academic quality assurance, ensuring our portfolio of programmes deliver across the three strategic goals of Quality, Reach and Sustainability.  

In leading an excellent and enthusiastic Academic Quality team, the Head of Academic Quality will have overall responsibility for academic governance, including the maintenance and review of academic regulations, the annual lifecycle for academic quality assurance, curriculum information, programme validation processes, partner relationships and student casework.

The successful candidate will have significant experience of Higher Education administration, and detailed knowledge of HE regulatory requirements, including OfS Conditions of Registration, as well as knowledge of quality assurance practice in a UK HE context.  This role would ideally suit someone looking to expand their expertise and really make a mark within a tight-knit, dedicated team.   

The post holder will report to the Director of Academic Services and act as both advisor and guardian on matters related to academic quality and standards, including the definitive interpretation and application of academic regulations.
